Filey is a small Seaside Resort and Fishing Village on the North Yorkshire Coast, located between Scarborough to the North and Bridlington to the South. Filey Bay is known for it’s natural beauty, with a long stretch of golden sands, and a popular shopping Centre without the commercialism of it’s larger neighbours. Filey Brig is a long narrow peninsular situated about a mile North of the town. It’s steep cliffs are 60 foot high, and it has long been a favourite with Walkers and adventurous Children alike.
Although the Butlins Camp has been closed for many years, Filey is well served with Camping and Caravan facilities, with larger Sites such as Blue Dolphin and Primrose Valley close by, and smaller ones like Crow’s Nest, Lebberston, Humble Bee and West Hale Gate all a short Car or Bus ride.
The Imperial Vaults is a family run Public House right in the heart of Filey on Hope Street, a minutes walk to the centre of town, and a hop skip and a jump to the Beach. It serves Real Ale, is Dog Friendly and stages a variety of Live Entertainment.
The Sonics are a 1950s / 60s Rock’n’Roll Band, playing all the Classic Hits from Elvis Presley to The Beatles. They have a strong and loyal following, particularly in The East Riding, North Yorkshire, and up and down the Yorkshire Coast.
On Easter Sunday Night, (19th April) The Sonics are appearing at The Imperial Vaults in Filey
