Cudworth is an urban village with a population of around 10,000, situated about 4 miles North East of Barnsley in South Yorkshire. Despite the perception that the areas around Barnsley are simply redundant former Coal Mines, the village of Cudworth is mainly surrounded by regenerated Open Spaces. much Green Belt and the South and South East of Cudworth in particular still remains mainly Agricultural. It is also home to the Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre, and was the birthplace of the late TV Presenter, Journalist and Author, Sir Michael Parkinson.

Although Darfield Road W. M. C. is a Committee run Member’s Club, Affiliated Club Members and Bona Fide Guests are always welcome. Live Entertainment is staged every Sunday Evening, accompanied with a session of Cash Bingo. Drinks prices are very reasonable.
