Creed at Carcroft Club, Doncaster DN6 8AG
Carcroft is a rural village about 6 miles to the North West of the City of Doncaster in the County of South Yorkshire, with a population of about 8,000. It is within easy reach of the A1 Motorway. Carcroft Village Social Club was established in 1910 as a workers’ social club and was known until recently as Carcroft Village Working Men’s Club. In 2017 the Club changed its status from Friendly Society to a Limited Company and so it is still owned by its members and run by an elected committee, as it always has been – it’s a “not for profit organisation” with no directors or owners – just members and employees!
The Club, besides offering Sky Sports on Large Screen TV, also offers a varied programme of Live Entertainment and typically presents Solo singers every Friday, Live Bands on Saturdays and Duos on Sunday evenings, all arranged through the Booking Agency of Bigwig Entertainments in Manchester.
