Located on Kirkgate in the historic town of Knaresborough, the Working Men’s Club boasts a spectacular view of the famous River and Viaduct from the beer garden which is also a sun trap! Kirkgate runs parallel to the A59 through Knaresborough Town Centre, and access to the road is best made by turning right from the Market Square, immediately before the Police Station.
The Games Room has two snooker tables, there is a lounge area, and of course the two tier Concert Room with seating for perhaps 80 people. Although most of the main areas of the club are on one level, entry and exit to the Club is via 2 narrow double doors and a couple of steep steps, making it a little difficult for the disabled, but not impossible with assistance.
The Club have recently changed their Entertainment programme and now have Bands on once a month, as advertised locally.
Drop Leg Steppers will be appearing on Saturday 7th June, with doors opening at 8pm. They are an 8 piece with elements of Reggae, Soul, Ska, Dub Fusion Band, with Music to dance to!
