Grimethorpe Colliery Band at Cast, Doncaster DN1 3BU
Doncaster is a City in South Yorkshire, named after the River Don, and is the 2nd largest settlement in the County, after Sheffield. Amongst other things, the area is well known for it’s Racing and Railway history, has a population of about 90,000, and was conferred with City Status as recently as 2022 by King Charles III
Cast is a £22 million venue opened officially in September 2013 and boasts a 620-seat auditorium, Flexible studio space, Drama studio, Dance studio, Education and ancillary space, and a large foyer with Café.
Grimethorpe Colliery Band were established in 1917 and have been National, British Open and Regional Champions on several occasions. They will be appearing at Cast on Saturday 15th March.
