The Locals at The Golden Lion, Pudsey LS28 8BL
Pudsey is a Market Town situated midway between the West Yorkshire Cities of Leeds to the East, and Bradford to the West. The town is home to a vibrant cultural scene, with a wide range of events and activities taking place throughout the year, and has a range of Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants and Cafes serving a variety of Local and International Food and Drink. The population of the town is a little over 30,000 and is closely aligned to the adjacent areas of Farsley, Stanningley, Calverley, Rodley, Swinnow, Fulneck, Fartown and Chapeltown. The Town is also known for sharing it’s name with Pudsey Bear, the name of the BBC Fund-raising Mascot for their Children in Need Campaigns.
The Golden Lion is located in Chapeltown which is a short distance to the South of Pudsey Market Place and Bus Station. It’s a popular venue for Live Music, with Bands appearing every Saturday Night, and Solo Artists or occasionally Duos performing from 4pm on a Sunday Afternoon. Friday Night finds DJ Fat Boy Can’t Slim spinning the Decks, with Karaoke on request.
