SUMMARY:Goldilocks & The Three Bears at Whitby Pavilion\, YO21 3EN
DESCRIPTION:Built in 1878\, Whitby Pavilion Theatre is a traditional Proscenium Arch with seating for up to 360\, this accommodation is made up of 236 seats in the stalls\, (of which four are wheelchair access spaces)\, while the remainder of the seating comprises the tiered circle. It is well equipped with up-to-date sound and lighting facilities yet retains the wonderful atmosphere of its Victorian origins. Following recent refurbishment the stalls are now removable\, providing space for a dance hall\, thus enabling the theatre to be used as it was in the 1940’s. \nThe Theatre is home to a wide and varied mix of entertainment including Plays\, Pantomimes\, Musicals\, Comedy\, Tribute and Music Hall Variety Shows. \nThis January\, join the Whitby’s Apollo Players under the big top for a panto full of laughs\, thrills\, and magical mayhem in Goldilocks and the Three Bears as they present their 54thannual pantomime at the Pavilion Theatre. \nPacked with toe-tapping tunes\, dazzling dance numbers\, and more slapstick than you can shake a juggling stick at\, this is a show you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re three or ninety-three\, there’s something for everyone in this bold\, bright\, and brilliant take on the classic tale. \nMon & Tues all tickets £8\nWed to Saturday tickets £12 (Under 14s £10) Booking fees may apply.

SUMMARY:Acoustic Sessions at Blues Bar\, Harrogate HG1 2TJ
DESCRIPTION:The Blues Bar in Harrogate is a “Rollicking night-time Blues Music Hangout and relaxed Daytime Café and Bar with a Funky Décor” according to their web site\, and it’s difficult to improve upon that exact description. \nIt’s a small Café style venue in Harrogate Town Centre\, literally a few seconds walk from the world famous Betty’s Tea Room & Café\, with a small stage\, probably fewer than 30 seats\, but with a fantastic intimate atmosphere\, and with an exceptional program of Live Entertainment every night of the week. \nCheck for occasional variations\, but Martin Rose hosts a Jam Night every Monday and also the Acoustic Sessions every Tuesday\, the fabulous Maurice Grumbleweed presents his relaxed Blues Night every Wednesday\, with more than a touch of the humour that made him and his fellow Grumbleweeds into National Treasures\, and Guest Bands / Artistes on Thursday\, Friday\, Saturday and double or occasionally treble up Bands all day on Sunday. \n[Strongly recommended] \nTuesday 13th January is Acoustic Sessions hosted by Martin Rose \n(from 9.00pm)
