DESCRIPTION:The Anglers Club is located in Burmantofts\, Leeds 9 just a short distance from Leeds City Centre and directly opposite St. James’s Hospital\, referred to locally as ‘Jimmies’. Celebrities from this area include the late Actress & Comedienne Liz Dawn (Vera from Coronation Street) and Nicola Adams the Olympic Gold Medal Boxer. \n\n\n\nThe Club is a good size\, and besides the Concert Room with a large Stage and Dance Floor\, it also has a Games Room with 2 Snooker Tables\, a Pool Table\, Dart Board and Wide Screen Televisions. Those wanting a quieter evening can enjoy the Lounge Bar which offers quieter comfortable accommodation for up to 100 people. The Club can offer Room Hire\, which is particularly popular due to it’s central location and the Large and Secure Car Park. Although it is a Member’s Club\, Affiliated CIU members and Bona Fide Guests are welcome\, although only Member’s Children are allowed in\, and must be under strict parental control. \nThere is Live Entertainment every  Saturday Night with Artists provided by Ashley Wheelhouse Agency\, but the Club is also well known as home to Live Country Music and Line Dancing every Monday Night. The Country Artists are supplied by The Black Cat Agency. There is a small admission charge on Monday Nights for the Country Shows (Cash only please)\, as well as a few houses of Cash Bingo. DESCRIPTION:The Blues Bar in Harrogate is a “Rollicking night-time Blues Music Hangout and relaxed Daytime Café and Bar with a Funky Décor” according to their web site\, and it’s difficult to improve upon that exact description. \nIt’s a small Café style venue in Harrogate Town Centre\, literally a few seconds walk from the world famous Betty’s Tea Room & Café\, with a small stage\, probably fewer than 30 seats\, but with a fantastic intimate atmosphere\, and an exceptional program of Live Entertainment every night of the week. \nCheck online for occasional variations\, but Martin Rose hosts both the Jam Night every Monday and also the Acoustic Sessions every Tuesday. The fabulous Maurice Grumbleweed presents his relaxed Blues Night every Wednesday\, with more than a touch of the humour that made him and his fellow Grumbleweeds into National Treasures throughout the 80’s and 90’s.Guest Bands / Artistes appear on Thursday\, Friday\, Saturday and double or occasionally treble up Bands all day on Sunday. \n[Strongly recommended] \nMonday 20th April is Jam Night hosted by Martin Rose \n(from 9.30pm)
