DESCRIPTION:Garforth is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Leeds in West Yorkshire. It boasts a population of about 15\,000\, is situated about 7 miles to the east of Leeds centre\, 10 miles north of Wakefield\, and 15 miles south-west of York. It is conveniently located for easy access to the M1 and M62 motorways and the A1 (Great North Road). \nGarforth Working Men’s Club was founded in 1907\, and is a Member’s Club. It is home to Garforth Tigers Junior Football Team\, and has a range of Entertainment events including Line Dancing on a Thursday\, Karaoke and Bingo on a Friday and Live Entertainment every Sunday evening. The Concert Room is available to Members for Private Functions on other days. \nThe Leeds CIU Entertainment Section are holding their Monthly Meeting and Showcase at Garforth W. M. C\, on Monday 7th July 2025\nThe Showcase is organised by The Crossland Agency and will feature 4 Top Quality Acts plus Bingo and a Raffle. \nAdmission is free\, but please be early to make sure of a seat.

There is a good sized Dance Floor in front of the stage\, although rarely are there any dancers in the first spot and generally only a few in the 2nd. \nThe first House of Bingo (the “Flyer”) starts at 8\,30pm prompt\, followed by the Artist’s 1st spot of 45 minutes. There then follows a book of 4 houses of Bingo\, and the drawing the Raffle\, followed by a further 45 minute spot by the Artist. The audience tends to be aged 35+\, like older material and reduces dramatically after bingo! \nThe Artiste for Sunday 13th July is James Johnson\nBilled as a ‘Top Male Vocalist’.
