DESCRIPTION:Andy Marsh at Tinshill & Cookridge Social Club\, Leeds LS16 6PF\n\n\nTinshill & Cookridge Club is a friendly Club\,  situated just a short walk away from Horsforth Railway Station\, on the Leeds to York line and there is a regular Bus Service which stops right outside the Club connecting nearby Holt Park with Leeds City centre. \nThe 200 capacity Concert Room is available for Private Functions. \nSaturday Evening is Cabaret Time\, and the show is usually divided into 3 sets. The first ‘Flyer’ of Bingo is played about 8.30pm followed by the Artist’s 1st and then 2nd spots with ‘Open the Box’ in between. \nCIU affiliated Club members and Bona Fide guests are welcome\, although only Member’s Children \, (who must be aged 5 years or older)\, are admitted to the Concert Room. \nThe Show finishes with the Artists 3rd and final spot\, normally up-tempo and with a nice sized Dance Floor\, there’s plenty of room for the regular dancers to ‘Bust some moves!’ \nOn Saturday 5th December the Artist is Pax \nbilled as a Star Guitar Vocalist.\n5 star Venue ***** (One of our personal favourites!)

Despite it’s Coal Mining Heritage\, the Village is surrounded by beautiful Countryside\, making it a popular destination for Walking and Cycling. \nShafton Working Men’s Club is located on High Street in Shafton\, and a review from a Band who had appeared at the Club stated:“This is a really great Club with Top Notch Bar and Management plus a great Family atmosphere. You will have a great night here\, for sure.” It is a Member’s Club\, but prospective applicants are invited to apply direct to the Club for Membership\, which in 2025 stood at only £4.00 \nThere are currently two Live Music Shows a week (a small Cover Charge may apply to certain shows)\, Quiz Nights in the Lounge every Tuesday and Thursday\, and a Bingo Session every Wednesday from 8pm. DESCRIPTION:The Junction Inn is a traditional Pub in Otley\, West Yorkshire and besides serving up a wide range of fine ales\, they also have weekly Live Music. The roaring fire will keep you warm during the winter months\, whilst Maurice Grumbleweed on a Sunday evening (from 6pm)a nd Live Bands on a Saturday Night offer the best variety of Entertainment in town. The Junction is less thana 2 minute walk from Otley Bus Station\, with a regular Bus service to Leeds and Ilkley. \nMaurice Grumbleweed was a founder member of the nationally famous and Multi Award winning Comedy Band – The Grumbleweeds\, most of whom were from Leeds. They formed in the 1960’s\, and following success on the TV Talent Show ‘Opportunity Knocks’  they toured the UK playing to packed houses through the 1970s. \nSpotted at Batley Variety Club by Radio Producer Mike Craig\, they were commissioned to produce a Radio Programme on BBC Radio 2\, and such was the show’s popularity that it continued throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s. Maurice left the Band in 1998 and spent some time running a Gallery in North Yorkshire\, but the call of Show Business eventually drew him back\, and although his schedule is now a little less hectic\, he’s lost none of his Musical prowess or Comedy timing. He is a firm favourite both at his Wednesday Night residency at The Blues Bar in Harrogate\, and The Junction in Otley (early Sunday Evening) but also with the occasional Cruise Ship Work. when a more than capable replacement show is presented. \nThere will be a Show from Maurice Grumbleweed on Sunday\, 7th December from 6pm.
