DESCRIPTION:Moortown Social Club is situated at Cranmer Gardens\, Leeds LS17 5LA which is a short distance from the Leeds Outer Ring Road at Moortown. There is Live Entertainment every Sunday Night. The Club has a large Dance Floor and two tiers of seating. The entertainment is supplied through the Ricky Graham Agency\, and the Artist normally performs 2 sets of 45 minutes. There is a good sized Dance Floor in front of the stage\, although rarely are there any dancers in the first spot and generally only a few in the 2nd. \nThe first House of Bingo (the “Flyer”) starts at 8\,30pm prompt\, followed by the Artist’s 1st spot of 45 minutes. There then follows a book of 4 houses of Bingo\, and the drawing the Raffle\, followed by a further 45 minute spot by the Artist. The audience tends to be aged 35+\, like older material and reduces dramatically after bingo! \nThe Artiste for Sunday 18th May is Elli Gent\,\n‘Top Female Vocalist’.

DESCRIPTION:The Junction Inn is a traditional Pub in Otley\, West Yorkshire and besides serving up a wide range of fine ales\, they also have Live Music 3 days a week. The roaring fire will keep you warm during the winter months\, whilst Maurice Grumbleweed on a Sunday evening (from 6pm)\, Folk Music on a Monday Night\, and Live Bands on a Saturday Night offer the best variety of Entertainment in town. The Junction is probably a 2 minute walk from Otley Bus Station\, with a regular Bus service to Leeds and Ilkley. \nMaurice Grumbleweed was a founder member of the nationally famous and Multi Award winning Comedy Band – The Grumbleweeds\, most of whom were from Leeds. They formed in the 1960’s\, and following success on the TV Talent Show ‘Opportunity Knocks’  they toured the UK playing to packed houses through the 1970s. \nSpotted at Batley Variety Club by Radio Producer Mike Craig\, they were commissioned to produce a Radio Programme on Radio 2\, and such was it’s popularity that it continued throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s. Maurice left the Band in 1998 and spent some time running a Gallery in North Yorkshire\, but the call of Show Business eventually drew him back\, and whilst his schedule now is a little less hectic\, he’s lost none of his Musical prowess or Comedy timing. He is a firm favourite both at his residency at The Blues Bar in Harrogate\, and The Junction in Otley (Sunday early Evening) but also with the Cruise Ship Work which he particularly enjoys. \nThere will be a Show from Maurice Grumbleweed on Sunday\, 18th May from 6pm.

DESCRIPTION:Tinshill & Cookridge Club is a friendly Club\, with reasonably priced drinks\, and often freshly made sandwiches are available behind the bar. The Club is situated just a short walk away from Horsforth Railway Station\, on the Leeds to York line and there is a regular Bus Service which stops right outside the Club connecting nearby Holt Park with Leeds City centre. \nThe 200 capacity Concert Room is available for Private Functions. \nSaturday Evening is Cabaret Time\, and the show is divided into 3 sets. The first ‘Flyer’ is played about 8.30pm followed by the Artist’s 1st and 2nd spots. \nThere is Bingo and Open the Box offering Big Money Opportunities\, although some of the prizes are limited to Members only. CIU affiliated Club members and Bona Fide guests are welcome. There is however a restriction on admittance\, since Member’s Children only\, (aged 5 years and older)\, are admitted to the Concert Room. \nThe Show finishes with the Artists 3rd and final spot\, normally up-tempo and with a nice sized Dance Floor\, there’s plenty of room for the regular dancers to ‘Bust some moves!’ \nOn Saturday 17th May  the Artist is Sasha Lawrence – billed as a Star Female Vocal Entertainer. \n5 star Venue ***** (One of our favourites!)
