DESCRIPTION:Sowerby Bridge is a Market Town in the Upper Calder Valley in Calderdale\, West Yorkshire. It is where the Calder and Hebble Navigation and Rochdale Canal meet on the edge of The Pennines. Once an Industrial Centre\, Pubs\, Bars and Cafes now fill many of the old Canal Buildings. \nHollins Mill formerly a Joinery Workshop\, won a National Award for ‘Best Conversion to Pub Use‘ in 2006 and is a spacious open-plan Venue besides the Rochdale Canal\, to the West of the Town Centre. It features exposed beams and floorboards and has a large South-facing Beer Garden and facilities for Events\, Functions and Wedding Receptions. \nRyburn 3 Step is a Folk Development Organisation\, promoting Traditional Song\, Music and Dance in the Ryburn Valley. The Ryburn 3 Step Folk Club has a Monthly Guest Night on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Featured Guest are supported by an all-star cast of resident singers. The Evening starts at 7pm with a few songs from residents\, followed by the Guest Artist\, and a short interval. DESCRIPTION:Located on Kirkgate in the historic town of Knaresborough\, the Working Men’s Club  boasts a spectacular view of the famous River and Viaduct from the beer garden which is also a sun trap! Kirkgate runs parallel to the A59 through Knaresborough Town Centre\, and access to the road is best made by turning right from the Market Square\, immediately before the Police Station. \nThe Games Room has two snooker tables\, there is a lounge area\, and of course the two tier Concert Room with seating for perhaps 80 people. Although most of the main areas of the club are on one level\, entry and exit to the Club is via 2 narrow double doors and a couple of steep steps\, making it a little difficult for the disabled\, but not impossible with assistance. \nThe Club have recently changed their Entertainment programme and now have Bands on once a month\, as advertised locally. \nDrop Leg Steppers will be appearing on Saturday 7th June\, with doors opening at 8pm. They are an 8 piece with elements of Reggae\, Soul\, Ska\, Dub Fusion Band\, with Music to dance to!

DESCRIPTION:The Junction Inn is a traditional Pub in Otley\, West Yorkshire and besides serving up a wide range of fine ales\, they also have Live Music 3 days a week. The roaring fire will keep you warm during the winter months\, whilst Maurice Grumbleweed on a Sunday evening (from 6pm)\, Folk Music on a Monday Night\, and Live Bands on a Saturday Night offer the best variety of Entertainment in town. The Junction is probably a 2 minute walk from Otley Bus Station\, with a regular Bus service to Leeds and Ilkley. \nMaurice Grumbleweed was a founder member of the nationally famous and Multi Award winning Comedy Band – The Grumbleweeds\, most of whom were from Leeds. They formed in the 1960’s\, and following success on the TV Talent Show ‘Opportunity Knocks’  they toured the UK playing to packed houses through the 1970s. \nSpotted at Batley Variety Club by Radio Producer Mike Craig\, they were commissioned to produce a Radio Programme on Radio 2\, and such was it’s popularity that it continued throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s. Maurice left the Band in 1998 and spent some time running a Gallery in North Yorkshire\, but the call of Show Business eventually drew him back\, and whilst his schedule now is a little less hectic\, he’s lost none of his Musical prowess or Comedy timing. He is a firm favourite both at his residency at The Blues Bar in Harrogate\, and The Junction in Otley (Sunday early Evening) but also with the Cruise Ship Work which he particularly enjoys. \nThere will be a Show from Maurice Grumbleweed on Sunday\, 25th May from 6pm.
