DESCRIPTION:Brudenell Social Club is without doubt one of the top Live Entertainment venues in Leeds\, and they have an astounding wide and varied selection of Live Music\, virtually every night of the week. Their own Website gives a more detailed and up-to-date picture of forthcoming shows\, and I can do no better than quote from that website: \n“The Brudenell is a lively and fun loving venue that embraces Music and Art under a wide and diverse umbrella that has no boundaries.” \nThe Brudenell has been in the past most famous for hosting secret gigs for bands like Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs. However\, it has been a centrepiece of the Leeds Music Scene for a number of years\, and hosts events most nights of the week\, which are put on by a variety of local promoters\, covering a wide spectrum of genres. \nThe name Brudenell is said to come from the family of James Thomas Brudenell\, who owned Kirkstall Abbey after it ceased to be a monastery in 1539. Brudenell was also Earl of Cardigan and the connection explains why many roads in the Hyde Park area of Leeds are named Cardigan and Brudenell\, and therefore how the Brudenell itself got its name. \nThe Brudenell Social and Recreational Club has a long and varied history and was formed on December 8th\, 1913\, it bought its first premises and current land shortly afterwards where it is still located today” \nFormed in 2004\, LA Dispute is an American post-hardcore Band from Grand Rapids\, Michigan. \nLA Dispute appear on Monday 29th June

DESCRIPTION:The Anglers Club is located in Burmantofts\, Leeds 9 just a short distance from Leeds City Centre and home to St. James’s Hospital\, referred to locally as ‘Jimmies’. Celebrities from this area include the late Actress & Comedienne Liz Dawn (Vera from Coronation Street) and Nicola Adams the Olympic Gold Medal Boxer.\n\n\n\nThe Club is a good size\, and besides the Concert Room with a large Stage and Dance Floor\, it also has a Games Room with 2 Snooker Tables\, a Pool Table\, Dart Board and Wide Screen Televisions\, while for those wanting a quieter evening\, the Lounge Bar offers quiter comfortable accommodation for up to 100 people. The Club are happy to offer Room Hire\, which is particularly popular due to it’s central location and the Large and Secure Car Park. Although a Member’s Club\, Affiliated CIU members and Bona Fide Guests are welcome\, although only Member’s Children are allowed in\, and must be under strict parental control. \nThere is Live Entertainment every  Saturday Night with Artists provided by Ashley Wheelhouse Agency\, but the Club is also well known as home to Live Country Music and Line Dancing every Monday Night. The Country Artists are supplied by The Black Cat Agency. There is a small admission price for the Country Shows (Cash only please)\, as well as a few houses of Cash Bingo. Great value and fun to watch for non-dancers! \nThe Artist on Monday 29th June is Darren Knight\,\na Great Night of Live Country Music and Line Dancing
